Five Spice Chicken

easily doubled to feed a crowd
Ingredients
6 whole chicken legs or 12 drumsticks
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon five spice powder
1 tsp salt
pepper to taste
4 cloves garlic-crushed
2 tablespoons soya sauce
Method
Set oven to at 190’C
Combine all ingredients except chicken and warm slightly to melt the honey
Pour oven the chicken pieces and toss to coat
Put chicken in a single layer in an oven dish
Pour over remaining marinade
Roast for approximately 35 minutes or until chicken juice runs clear
OPTIONAL
You can sprinkle with sesame seeds and or finely chopped parsley
The chicken can also be barbequed - simply reduce cooking time in the oven by 10 minutes and finish on the barbeque hot plate
