Sausage Casserole

Ingredients
8 large sausages
1 brown onion
½ teaspoon marmite or vegemite
1 cup boiling water
1 green apple, cored and sliced
¼ tomato sauce
2 tablespoons Worcester sauce
1 teaspoon wholegrain mustard
Method
Prick sausages with a fork to stop the skins bursting while cooking
Peel, halve and slice the onion
Heat a large frypan with a splash of oil and cook sausages and onions until sausages are beginning to brown
Dissolve the marmite in boiling water and add to sausages with the apple, tomato sauce, Worcester sauce and mustard
Bring to the boil then reduce heat to a simmer
Cook at a simmer - uncovered for approximately 20 minutes
To serve
Great served with creamy mashed potatoes and steamed greens
